The Emancipation Proclamation Was Signed On January 1, 1863.
The Emancipation Proclamation Is Very Significant To U.S. History. It Was An Executive Order Sent Out By The President At The Time, Abraham Lincoln. It Said That All Enslaved People Were To Be Freed If They Were Under Confederate Control. It Freed More Then 3+ Million Slaves And Made It So They Could Go Into The Workforce And Get Paid For The Work They Did. |
